I think the tassel adds just enough detail to make them look perfect! I used Sharpie markers to trace and colored pencils to color. First I took a picture of each of my students’ profiles and then inserted it into a pages doc (or word, powerpoint, or keynote!). Most of my students were in kindergarten with me, so they had already made my usual Mother’s Day gifts.

Shrinky Dinks are a classic craft from my childhood but kids these days still find them fun to watch as they shrink in the oven.

💗 #crafts #kidscrafts #toddlercrafts #kidsactivities #toddleractivities

You can find out more information by reading my full disclaimer.

Have a look at this project here and see how these miniature pins are made with an easy processes and just a few supplies.

Have a spatula handy in case your keychain still has a small wave to it – just press down hard with a flat spatula as soon as it comes out of the oven.

If the file is empty, you’ll need to create it.

For your convenience, we will keep you logged in for the next 90 days unless you uncheck the box. I was worried that the intricate cuts would curl up or something would go catastrophically wrong, but for the most part, they turned out perfectly. When you’re done, check out this fun flower crown craft. Wait until your item has flattened back out before you remove it from the oven.

If you are new to this activity and haven’t tried it before ever, you can learn from this project everything you need to know as a beginner. As we know that summer holidays are just around the corner and our kids need something to get engaged in. You just have to draw or trace your image on the sheet and color it. This requires baking in the oven at the end so be careful and always supervise your kids in such projects. Try to be careful while you do the baking part in these projects and never allow your kids to handle the baking part alone.

If you’re making a charm or keychain, punch a hole in your shrink film. The designs I used are very simple, but you could print out photos of your kids and other designs that are much more intricate. Thanksgiving Shrinky Dinks are the perfect mix of fun, learning, and creativity. You can mix big coloring outlines with smaller designs to turn into charms, jewelry, or table markers.

Alcohol Ink Washer Necklaces

I knew both of my kids could make Shrinky Dink Father’s Day frames. These were great templates for the kids to color they enjoyed them. 💖 This fun and easy craft lets students trace, color, bake, and turn their designs into cute keychains or gift tags for Mom. It’s my favorite craft subscription box for kids! Have the kids draw tools onto the shrink paper (or you can draw the outline and have the kids color in the design). The frame is surrounded by little tools drawn or colored in by the kids.

Heart Keychain

When it comes to doing DIY Projects, we must explore new and innovative ideas, themes, designs, styles, colors, and techniques. They would curl up and then uncurl, eventually flattening out. The plastic will curl before flattening again. Within a few seconds the plastic will begin to curl, shrink, and then flatten again.

As kids in the 80’s we remember the Shrinky Dinks craze – when we would huddle in front of our oven to see our creations magically shrink before our eyes. We are Annie, Emily, and Laura- three sisters and mothers who love finding ways to make everyday life with kids more meaningful. We love making handmade gifts and these would be a perfect gift for Mother’s Day (and you could pair it with this Mother’s Day questionnaire) , Father’s day or just because! My husband doesn’t often read my blog, so hopefully, these next few weeks are too busy at work, and he will skip this post since I hope to surprise him with this on Father’s Day with this adorable Father’s Day craft. As my son prepares to start his senior year of high school, looking at his tiny little toddler footprint on this keychain is almost impossible without tearing up.

#5 Home Is Where The Heart Is

Begin by cutting the takeout container into two separate flat sheets, but be careful not to tear it, as it is thin and tears easily. We need different colored permanent markers to draw the rainbow on the plastic sheet and a rainbow template to trace perfect rainbows. Therefore, we’ll make large-sized rainbows so that when they shrink, they’re perfectly sized for those little ears. Most of the supplies required to make these shrinky dink rainbow earrings are everyday items readily available at home. We’re sharing the magic of shrinking plastic crafts and making rainbow DIY Shrinky Dink Earrings crafts for kids of all ages. However, even with the correct plastic, achieving a completely flat shrinky dink can be challenging.

If your kids can’t get enough of the hit Netflix show, KPop Demon Hunters, these DIY Shrinky Dink Demon Hunter ornaments are the perfect craft!
